HearFirst was born from founder Julie Ryder’s personal journey. “I could hear first, but now I’m deaf,” she’d say, a phrase that inspired the name and helped others relate to her experience. Since 2002, HearFirst delivers specialist training in customer experience, inclusion, awareness campaigns, student enrichment, volunteer development, and tailored training solutions.

The project brief

Amphaus was tasked with a complete brand overhaul to modernise the visual identity of a respected company providing training to top UK organisations. The goal was to better align the brand with the company’s reputation and vision.

The task was to translate this updated identity into web design concepts and integrate them into the flexible, scalable Webflow platform. The final outcome was a CMS-powered website offering robust functionality, content editability, and enhanced security.

Creating a new identity for the brand

Creating a new brand identity involved redefining key elements to build a stronger connection with the audience. From the logo and color palette to typography and tone of voice, every aspect was carefully considered and refined. The result is a cohesive and memorable identity that reflects the brand’s values, enhances recognition, and resonates across both digital and physical platforms.

Redefining the logo

The previous logo was refined to enhance its clarity, versatility, and modern appeal. By adjusting its shapes, simplifying details, and optimising contrast, the new design ensures better recognition across digital screens and print materials alike. The updated logo is now scalable for various devices, from mobile apps to large-format prints, while maintaining its distinct identity in both online and offline applications.

Translating the brand into the digital space

Amphaus took the brand identity and transformed it into an inviting, informative and user-friendly website. Every element, from the colour palette and typography to imagery and messaging, was carefully integrated to create a seamless brand experience. The result is a website that not only reflects the brand’s personality but also improves usability, making it easy for visitors to engage, explore and connect.

What set Amphaus apart from the outset was the way they do business: listening, nurturing ideas, collaborating and working at a pace that suited us.”
